We had a blast today! We all went to see the Big Buddha along with the Buddhist temple and monastery. Then we went to see the fish mart we there are street vendors selling anything and everything you could ever want. Tomorrow we will go see Victoria's Peak and the Aberdeen Jewelry Mart! YEAHHHH!!! I can't wait to buy some jewelry.

Sunday we will go to Guangzhou via bus ride (about 4 hours) to our next hotel. We should also get baby Sara! YIPPEEE!!! We just can't wait!

We will post again tomorrow after we go sightseeing!

Susie

This is Keith for a quick post - We got our first experience with authentic Chinese food at the Buddhist monastery - There was a Vegetarian Restaurant there. Not like back home - Lets just say "That ain't no chicken", but - it wasn't that bad. We are all so exhausted. The fishing village was cool. But - now it is like 4:30 am back in NC and GA so now I think we are all feeling the effects of yesterdays 16 hour flight. I think we are going to grab a bite to eat then off to bed. Tomorrow - Victorias's Peak!

We just arrived in Hong Kong with Michael and Ann Marie from Raleigh. The 18 hour flight was exhausting. We are at the Regal now - going to try to get a few hours sleep then off to Hong Kong. Susie is already asleep and I am posting from Michael and Ann Marie's Room. More to come tomorrow - Sorry - no pics today.

A Special Time in Church

Every Sunday morning our pastor, Chip, will come by and ask us how the adoption is going? He will also ask us if there is anything he can do for us? Our response is always, prayer? This morning when he ask us we had the privelege of telling him we were leaving on Wednesday, March 29. After he started the service, he ask us to stand as he told the congregation we have been working on a project. He ask me, Susie, to tell the congregation what we have been working on. I started telling everyone that we have been working on something for about a year and half and that we were finally going to leave to go to China on Wednesday to adopt our daughter. Of course, I started to cry as I was telling our story to everyone and the entire congregation, simultaneously, said, "Ohhhhh" and clapped for us. I ask that they continue to pray for us that we would have safe travel and a smooth adoption process. Chip led us in prayer and followed up with The Lord's Prayer.

It is so good to have such wonderful people in your life. A church family is so important. There were several people that came up to us and wished us well. One man wanted our phone number because he knew someone who just went to China 6 months before. It is such a good feeling to know that people, whether you know them or not, are willing to pray for you. I thank God for this church and my church family and that He will bless them always. Amen.

Dad here. Just 4 more days until we leave for Hong Kong. As you can see, we are all set for Sara Eve to join our family. This will be her room. We were fortunate enough to buy this house with the colors all set for a little girl. It's hard to believe that we have been waiting almost 18 months for this. Emotions are high and we are ready to go. WE JUST NEED THE TICKETS! Come on Fed Ex lady. Don't let us down.
