Sara Eve's Adoption

Thursday, February 02, 2006

January 26, 2006 was the happiest day of our lives. After 8 months of waiting, we finally received a picture of our little girl. She was more than what we had hoped and prayed for. Susie had to have her picture made with the "stork" who brought her daughter to her. Of course she was the FedEx lady who almost had a bigger smile than I did. Thank you FedEx Lady, we couldn't have done it without you!

Keith and I went inside to open our gift of life. With tears of joy streaming down our faces, we looked at each other and just stopped in awe, but only for a moment. We tore into our package to see what our baby looked like. She is so much more than we had hoped and prayed for. We love her more today, than we did just days before.

We finally had a face to but with the name we chose for her. Sara is a name that Keith and I love. Eve is after my grandmother whose name is Evelyn. Grandma gave life a little more than 59 years ago and coincidentally, Eve means life as well. If you are familiar with Gensis from the Bible, Eve was the first woman to have life in the beginning. Keith and I are happy to be able to give Sara Eve a life to live and be proud of. God is the only one that I can truly give this glory and blessing to. Thank You, Lord for the blessing of a little girl. Please be with us through our journey to and through China to pick up the daughter that you have chosen for us. Amen.
